Chapter History

In August 2006, Brothers Reggie Martin, James Monroe, Keith James, W. Eugene Dixon and Kevin Love met to discuss what was then called the “Broward Project”, the chartering of a chapter for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, in South West Broward County, Florida. Upon further assessment, it was determined that the increase growth in Southwest Broward would support the establishment of a chapter within this area.

Fellowship

The Miramar-Pembroke Pines (FL) Alumni Chapter (MPPAC) was chartered to provide current and aspiring Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., residing in the Miramar-Pembroke Pines communities of South Florida and surrounding a place to continue their endeavors to serve their communities, as well as provide on-going support to each other.

Mentorship

The Miramar-Pembroke Pines (FL) Alumni Chapter is committed to unlocking the potential of the young men who live in the communities we serve.

We are focused on providing the tools and resources they need to achieve personal success through: Scholarships, Youth Development, Mentoring and access to STEM programs, tools and opportunities.

Philanthropy

The Miramar-Pembroke Pines (FL) Alumni Chapter (MPPAC) Foundation, Inc. is MPPAC’s Florida 501(C)3 non-profit segment of the chapter, established to facilitate the chapter’s commitment to fulfilling the fraternity’s various local and national charitable initiatives such as providing scholarship opportunities, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, back-pack and food distributions amongst other community investments.

Our Leadership

In accordance with chapter by-laws, and the national by-laws of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., the 2024-2025 administration of The Miramar-Pembroke Pines (FL) Alumni Chapter were voted upon during the regular May Chapter Meeting; and inducted into office during the June Meeting following the election.

Kappa League at MPPAC

Kappa League is a program for the educational, occupational and social guidance of male students in grades 6th-12th. Kappa League is a subset of Guide Right, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc’s National Service Initiative.

MPPAC Foundation

In the summer of 2012, the Miramar-Pembroke Pines (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. established Kappa Alpha Psi MPPAC Foundation for the purpose of improving the quality of life for those residing in Southwest Broward County, Florida and surrounding through charitable donation, youth mentorship, educational scholarship, feeding and clothing initiatives as well as hands-on community involvement.
